An advertiser joins the Associate Program Network and places ads, offers, and links in the network, making them available for placement by an affiliate (you), also called publisher.

You apply to join the advertiser's Affiliate Program, and upon acceptance, you become an affiliate or publisher and then select and place the advertiser's offers on their Web site using a link.

These links are served and tracked by the “Affiliate Network“. When a person visit your site ( in some cases you can use your e-mail to link the visitor) and make a purchase online or fills out a form, that transaction is tracked and recorded. You get paid every two weeks and in some cases once a month. If you decide to take this route make sure that you read all documentation about the Affiliate Program involved. This way you will know exactly what the “Affiliate Network” and the “Advertiser” expect from you and what you can expect from them.
